Oh Libby, This Book Made Me Think of You sounds WONDERFUL! I can already sense it's going to make me cry 🤣
Switching off can be so tough, but I recently heard someone say they do their self-care/relaxation to "fill the cup that I pour from". I found that so profound and it made me look at relaxation in a whole new light. I hope it does the same for you!
This is a wonderful and very important post. I am one of those people who considers rest "a waste of time" in practice but not in theory, but implementing rest is so hard when I have so many irons in the fire and balls in the air. THANKS <3
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And I get it, I find it hard too! But I also find it makes such a difference to my health when I do make time to rest. Love the sound of T'ai Chi.
I found your email very interesting read, resting is something I struggle to do. I am feeling exhausted at the moment so I realise that resting would be the best thing for me, in order to recover. I have been trying to do more of my hobbies alongside resting so that I still feel like I'm doing something. Thank you for the reading recommendations, I will definitely check those out.
Looking forward to your new book even more after reading the synopsis ❤️
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I definitely think that hobbies count as rest. I find swimming and reading very restful. And I'm glad you like the sound of the new book!
Reading the synopsis of your next book has already tugged at my heartstrings, oh wow, it's going to be a wonderful read and I can't wait for it to be published! xx

Thank you so much! It is a tearjerker for sure, but hopefully uplifting too!
That's such a wonderful way of thinking about self-care - thank you for sharing!
Great post and looking forward to your new book!
Thank you, and I hope you enjoy it!
For me, T'ai chi helps a lot.

Thank you! And haha yes I know it's quite a while away! But I hope it will be worth the wait.
I find the Pomodoro Technique quite helpful.
I've heard good things about the technique but have yet to try it!
